When using multiple displays, show my taskbar apps on ...
I just updated yesterday to Windows 11. Under Settings - Personalization - Taskbar: When using multiple displays, show my taskbar apps on - Taskbar where window is open.
That's what I need. In general it seems to work and was common behavior in Windows 10. I'm using the program thinkorswim. It's a trading platform. In there I load my workspace. The workspace contains several windows (charts and other things) which are placed on multiple monitors. But the issue is, all the tabs ara on the taskbar of the main taskbar. Monitor 1 if you so will.
Is there anything I can do? If I drag a certain window from monitor 2 to monitor 1, and back to monitor 2, then the app tab will also move to monitor 2. Windows 10 did this correctly by default.
Any suggestions?

Hey there,
I am experiencing a similar issue with PTC Creo on Win11. Have you find a solution? The one above didn't help me.

1. Quickly turn on the multi-monitor taskbar
Windows 11 (22H2 and later)
Right-click on the taskbar and select “Taskbar Settings”.
Find the “Taskbar Behavior” option
Turn on:
Show taskbar on all monitors
Show app icons on all taskbars
2. How to adjust the old system
Through the registry (for 21H2 and earlier versions)
Press Win + R and type:
cmd
regedit
Navigate to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced
New DWORD (32-bit) Value:
Name: MMTaskbarEnabled
Value: 1
3. Restart Explorer:
Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
Find Windows Explorer → Right click “Restart”.
4. Multi-Monitor Individual Settings
Customize the taskbar for each monitor
Go to Settings → System → Display
Select the monitor you want to adjust → Scroll to the “Taskbar” section.
5. Individual Settings:
Show/Hide Taskbar
Icon Merge Method
