I recently installed the latest insider update OS build - (26220.8340). since then my whatsapp desktop app has stopped working. I have tried everything from removing and installing webview2, clearing cache, microsoft store reset and every other thing but nothing worked. do i need to remove this latest build or is there another fix? You can revert to the stable version of Windows 11, or choose to uninstall WhatsApp and reinstall it from the Microsoft Store.

Microsoft has fixed it, they released a new update that fixed the issue and whatsapp is working properly now. I was about to revert back to stable version but decided to wait a few days and see if they fix the issue. Thank you so much

Sometimes, Microsoft releases quick patches to fix issues caused by insider builds. Make sure your system is fully updated with the latest patches.

Yup they did in time and fixed the issue, i had messed around with my system before i realized it was the windows 11 update that glitched whatsapp and another update fixed it
