Whats happening to Windows PC?

I've had 3x updates for Windows 10 in the past 72hrs that have made my laptop completely unusable (constant windows popping up, resolution of screen changes, screen switches off, laptop becomes locked - all happening over and over). I can delete them and the laptop works fine again, but Microsoft in their "wisdom", have seemingly disabled all options to pause updates for any period of more than 35 days.

The process of downloading these completely ruinous updates and then manually uninstalling takes upwards of 3hrs, during which my laptop is effectively completely out of order. Its amazing what a company can get away with with a virtual monopoly. I guess I am left with no option but to switch to Linux and advise as many people as possible to stay away from Microsoft products. There is no way I will ever purchase anything that runs on Windows 11, or any successive Windows OS for the rest of my life.
