How to fix iPad is disabled and says to connect to iTunes? If you use a PC and do not want to install iTunes, or if you happen to have another Apple device (like another iPad or an iPhone near you), you can use the "Find My" feature to erase your disabled iPad from a distance. This only works if "Find My iPad" was already turned on in your settings before the device became disabled.
From a Web Browser (Windows / any computer):
- On your computer, go to icloud-com/find.
- Sign in with your Apple ID (the same one used on the disabled iPad).
- Click "All Devices" at the top and select your disabled iPad from the list.
- Click "Erase iPad" and follow the on-screen instructions.
From another Apple Device (iPhone or Mac):
- Open the "Find My" app on the other device.
- Tap on the "Devices" tab at the bottom.
- Select your disabled iPad from the list.
- Swipe up on the device card and tap "Erase This Device" .
The iPad will erase itself as soon as it connects to the internet. Once complete, you can set it up again and
