When you see the message Your iPad is disabled. Connect to iTunes, putting your iPad into recovery mode is the standard way to resolve this issue. This is also the most common solution when your iPad displays this message after you’ve entered the wrong passcode multiple times.
How to fix ipad is disabled connect to itunes
1. For iPads with Face ID:
- Press and quickly release the Volume Up button
- Press and quickly release the Volume Down button
- Press and hold the top button
- Keep holding until you see the recovery mode screen
2. For iPads with Home button:
- Press and hold the Home and Top buttons at the same time
- Keep holding them until you see the recovery mode screen
Once in Recovery Mode, you can connect to a computer with Finder or iTunes to restore or update your iPad and unlock it.
Cons
- Once in Recovery Mode, the only way to unlock the device is by restoring or updating the system, which will erase all data on the iPad. Without a backup, this data cannot be recovered.
- For Face ID models, the button combination requires precise timing; if the sequence is not followed correctly, the operation may fail, preventing entry into Recovery Mode.
- You must connect to a computer running Finder or iTunes, and the restoration process requires a stable internet connection to download the firmware; a loss of internet connection will cause the operation to fail.
