What should I do if my user folder is missing?
The user folder on my computer suddenly disappeared. I would like to ask what might have caused this and how to restore or redisplay this folder.
Restart your computer.
Sign in with a different administrator account. If you don't have one, you may need to boot into Safe Mode which sometimes loads a default administrator account.
To get to Safe Mode: Go to Settings > Update & Security > Recovery > Advanced startup > Restart now. Then go to Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart. Press 4 or F4 to boot into Safe Mode.
Once booted with administrative privileges, navigate to C:\Users\ again and see if the folder is now visible.
