What does the dotted line mean?

Never seen this before. Now, the Adobe Acrobat app icon is now surrounded by the dot-line.

  • 1. Interface Design Elements: In some versions of Windows, dotted lines may be used to identify editable areas or to indicate dynamic elements in the interface.
    2. Feature previews: In Insider Preview releases, dotted lines may be used to highlight new features being tested or features that are not yet fully implemented.
    3. Feedback Indication: When providing feedback, dotted lines may be used to indicate specific areas or feature points that the user needs to focus on.
    4. Interface loading status: In some cases, a dotted line may indicate that content is loading or waiting for user action.

The dotted lines just means the item is currently selected or highlighted.

If the Adobe Acrobat app is highlighted with a dotted line and seems unresponsive or hasn't loaded correctly, it could be indicating that something is wrong or that the app is in a loading state.
