What are the possible reasons for the decrease in copying speed?

I do not have sufficient info is the drive for example over heating because if you pushing it and it gets hot enough it will throttle do save it self after all if your not pushing it long enough most of the time you wouldn't notice it till your doing something that pushes it hard for a long enough sustained period to force throttling from heat because nvme is fast and the faster the drive it the more heat generated from it when it's being pushed for speed
