Virus in Rufus while flashing USB for Kali?
I was planning to install kali on a bare metal, an old laptop, i downloaded new kali iso 26.1, then when i opened rufus to flash the iso to it, i got a pop up saying that my rufus is not updated ...
A Kali Linux bug report from February 2026 confirms users received these exact three warnings during USB creation. The Kali development team closed the report as "not a bug" — meaning the detections are false positives.
