Video saved by Windows built-in screen recording tool
The built-in screen recording tool in Windows automatically saves recorded videos, but if the screen locks during recording, it won't save. How can I retrieve it? I used the built-in screen recording tool in Windows, went to the bathroom in the middle, and the computer locked after two minutes of inactivity. After unlocking it and continuing the recording, the final video wasn't saved. I tested it, and if the screen is locked for more than ten seconds, it won't save automatically. I already closed the recording interface because I thought it would save automatically. What can I do now to find the recorded video?

Unfortunately, if the Windows built-in screen recorder (Game Bar / Xbox Game Bar) was interrupted by a lock screen or system shutdown during the recording, the recorded video is typically not saved or recoverable. The tool is designed to save recordings automatically when you stop or pause it properly, but it does not save recordings if the system crashes, the app is closed unexpectedly, or the system locks during recording.
