Unusual Sight Upon Opening File Explorer

After the update that was installed in September, a strange occurrence began happening whenever I launched a new File Explorer window. Initially, a black bar would occupy the top section of the window before quickly transitioning to the regular user interface. This was completely new and had never happened in the previous build that was in place before the update.

The black bar you're describing appears to be a rendering delay in File Explorer's top section. When you open a new window, the modern UI (including the address bar, search box, and command bar) takes a split second longer to draw than the window frame itself. During that brief moment, you see either a black or colored bar before the interface fully loads.

The issue you're describing, where a black bar appears at the top of File Explorer windows immediately after opening, then transitions to the normal interface, suggests a graphical or rendering glitch that may be related to the update installed in September.

Update your graphics card drivers and disable the GPU-accelerated rendering option in File Explorer.
