High idle battery drain is often caused by background services, outdated drivers, power settings, or battery health rather than visible apps. I'd recommend checking Task Manager and Resource Monitor for hidden activity, reviewing power settings, updating BIOS/chipset and graphics drivers, and generating a battery report (powercfg /batteryreport on Windows) to assess battery health. If the drain persists even in Safe Mode, it could indicate a hardware issue or a failing battery.
