Uninstalling games from the Xbox app doesn't remove game shortcut from desktop

Install games from Xbox app, play it, then uninstall it, the shortcut that was made automatically on desktop will still be there, having a white placeholder icon.

Expected behavior: the shortcut on desktop should be removed when the game is uninstalled from the uninstall option of the Xbox app.

occurring in latest Windows 10 insider Dev build and Xbox app

if you can reproduce it, add your details to this feedback: https://aka.ms/AAcirp2

I had the same problem. This worked for me.

    1. Press the Windows key, then select the gear icon to access Settings.
    2. Go to Apps.
    3. Under Apps & features, locate the Xbox app.
    4. Click the Xbox app, then select Advanced options.
    5. Click Reset.

That doesn't help it, this happens on new Windows 10 and Windows 11 Dev installations, that means I reset the entire OS, not just the app, and still the problem exists.

I can confirm that by performing actions mentioned above would not work, what would be the registry chain for the "My Collection" list?
