The Windows 11 Photos app cannot display the full image when viewing landscape-oriented photos

I just started using Windows 11, and I noticed that when I run a slideshow in the new Photos app, landscape-oriented images aren’t displayed in full (part of the image is automatically cropped), while portrait-oriented images display normally. Is this a settings issue? How can I fix it?

The Photos app in Windows 11 doesn't have a lot of slideshow customization options built-in, but some behaviors depend on the app’s default display mode.

Microsoft support specialists have confirmed that there is currently no built-in setting to change this behavior for the slideshow mode. The app simply doesn't have an option to "fit to screen" or add black bars to keep the whole image visible during a slideshow.
