sudden slow internet speed on windows 11
recently I updated my windows 10 to windows 11. after that my download speed is suddenly decreased my actual internet speed is 25mbps when I check on the speed test also its showing 25mbps but while ...
I have same windows/pc problem. It occurs on Wired (ethernet) and Wi-Fi connections from one of 3 PCs on my home network.
My Link Speed on Ethernet is 1GBPs from PC to Router (3ft. cable) and ~830MBPs on Wi-fi
My Speed Test on Lenovo X1 Yoga running on Windows 11 Pro is normally:
- ~950MBPs Down and ~40MBPs UP on Wired
- ~840MBPs Down and ~40MBPS Up on Wireless
PROBLEM:
- I start my Zoom Client (App) and immediately my speed test results DROP TO:
~5-8 MBPs Down and ~3-4MBPs UP for PC, while link speed stays at 1GBPs. - This happens in both wireless and wired Ethernet adapters.
- Previously Zoom Quality would stay high, but last 3-4 weeks, Zoom quality is lagging and breaking up.
FIX: Quit Zoom Program.
Outcome: Internet Speed Reverts BACK to NORMAL at ~960MBPs Down and 40MBPs Up
I did all of the usual attempts to fix over the last 6 months
- SFC Scannow
- DSIM health check and restore
- Update all drivers
- Uninstall and reinstall drivers
- Uninstall and re-install Zoom, Adapters,
- pulled, replaced and reinserted cables (USB A,B,C; Power Cables, etc)
- Router and Modem Re-boots and restarts
- scrubbed errors in applications, computer and services logs and events
This is driving me crazy and completely unproductive time on fixing this daily!
Microsoft HELP!
