Sound dropping out on YouTube
Starting 5 days or so ago, on my desktop sound started dropping out on YouTube after a few seconds. I could mute it and then unmute it and it would play for a few more seconds but then drop out again.
At first this was happening in Firefox and Chrome, but not in Edge. As of today, Edge has the problem too.
My laptop does not have the problem.
All other sound seems to be OK.
I'm running a USB cable to an external DAC, which feeds into a small amp with speakers. I tried a second DAC, same problem.
I searched and found that people were having this problem about 4 years ago.
I have W11 24H2 with all updates.
How can I fix it?

Open the YouTube video.
Click the Volume icon in the video player and ensure it's not muted or set too low.
Also, check if the video has any audio at all (some videos may not have sound).

Can you use another set of headphones or speakers to isolate the problem? Does the sound issue persist if you plug directly into the computer's audio output?
