Snipping Tool New screenshot button not working: Windows 11 insider preview, build 25905
Windows + Shift + S (Snipping Tool)
Windows + Shift + S is a keyboard shortcut that allows you to capture a screenshot of any part of your screen. It is a useful feature that can help you save time and share information easily.
Press and hold Windows + Shift + S keys simultaneously until it becomes a dim overlay on your screen and a small toolbar at the top. You can choose one of the four options from the toolbar rectangular, freeform, window snip, or full screen. Now, click and drag your mouse to select the area you want to capture.
The snipping app holds significant value for me, especially when I am engaged in app development and collaborating with my mentors and teachers. Its functionality plays a crucial role in facilitating efficient communication and sharing visual information. Therefore, resolving the 'New' button problem would greatly enhance my productivity and overall experience with the app. Any additional input will be greatly appreciated!

If the New button on your Snipping Tool is not working, you may have encountered a bug or a corrupted file in your system.
This can be fixed by running the System File Checker (SFC) tool to scan and repair any corrupted or missing system files.
To do this, open the Command Prompt as an administrator and type:
sfc /scannow
Press Enter, wait for the scan to complete, and then restart your computer.
I hope this helps you fix your snipping tool's New button issue. Please let me know if you have any questions or feedback. Thank you.

Your dedication to providing valuable help to this situation is heavily appreciated! The problem was fixed with a recent Windows push. As it turns out, the issue was on the development side. However, I found the sfc /scannow tool to be very useful for future references or in other situations. Thank you again for your help.
