Selling old desktop: how to add new user and remove myself

It's been so long since I did this trick that I've forgotten how, so I'm showing my ignorance by asking for your help. I have added a new user (with name of new owner), but he doesn't show in C:\Users. And I automatically log in on this desktop without a login procedure or password.
I need to get a login screen with the new user's name on it, log him in (as admin), and delete my local account.

Help needed. 1) Add new user with admin privileges; 2) log in as new user; 3) remove my account and profile from users.

If you are going to sell your computer, the best way is to format it, I recommend a hard format. But if you don't want to bother, you can reset your computer's operating system.

In the Settings app on your Windows device, select System > Recovery

If you don't want to reset your PC:

    • Add a New User with Admin Privileges:
      • For Windows:
        • Press Windows + I to open Settings.
        • Go to Accounts > Family & other users.
        • Click Add someone else to this PC.
        • Follow the instructions to add a new user.
        • After adding, select the user and click Change account type.
        • Set the account type to Administrator.
    • Log in as the New User:
      • After creating the new user, log out of your current account.
      • On the login screen, select the new user account and log in with the credentials you set up.
    • Remove Your Account and Profile:
      • Again, for Windows:
        • Log in with the new user account.
        • Open Settings by pressing Windows + I.
        • Go to Accounts > Family & other users.
        • Find your old account under Other users and select it.
        • Click Remove and confirm to delete the account and its data.
