Right-click on the desktop to create a new file type, but the file types are mixed up.
When you right-click on the desktop to create a new file, the file type is incorrect (selecting a text document generates RTF, selecting an RTF document generates PPT), but it works fine when you create a new file after entering the secondary menu by displaying more options.

You can use tools like ShellExView or Default Programs Editor to manage context menu entries more easily.
Alternatively, run a repair script to reset "New" menu entries.
