i am seeing this error as well. not sure its related or not, but on my system, i am also having issues installing the windows Cumulative updates. they always fail get to 100% installing then change to error code 0x80070005. it doesn't matter if the update is downloaded for Microsoft update catalog, or via windows updates. it always fails. other updates to things like .net cumulative updates and driver updates, etc. do not seem to be affected, and install without any issues. only way to install the LCU is if therer is an ISO with the LCU baked in either provided from MS or built using a UUPDump.net script.
