How to let windows 11 "never combine taskbar buttons"?

The November 2023 update added “never combined” mode on the taskbar for Windows 11. To find this feature, go to Settings > Personalization > Taskbar > Taskbar behaviors. Set Combine taskbar buttons and hide labels to Never. It also added a separate setting for turning this feature on for other taskbars when you use multiple monitors.

I'm not sure. I didn't let Windows 11 fester on my computer, once I figured out I could not ungroup taskbar icons. It is the first setting I do. If you reset, as if it were new, I believe you will lose all your personal data. I have a thumb drive to restore Windows 10, I used on an old computer. (I tried to install the Chrome OS and it failed miserably!) I noticed that one of the options on the boot was to restore without losing personal data. Unfortunately, I don't have a link to share where I downloaded the thumb drive. You might want to do a search. On the other hand, you could back up all your data onto an external drive and then reset.

Thanks for the reply. The computer is fairly new and I got it when my last one crashed irreparably. I was able to recover everything from One Drive. So I may just try this.

In your case, you can install Windows10 - only after downloading the media creation tool and installing via USB, but it will be a clean installation - which will remove everything - be sure to copy your personal files.

Before you download the tool make sure you have:
An internet connection (internet service provider fees may apply).
Sufficient data storage available on a computer, USB or external drive for the download.
A blank USB flash drive with at least 8GB of space or blank DVD (and DVD burner) if you want to create media. We recommend using a blank USB or blank DVD, because any content on it will be deleted.
When burning a DVD from an ISO file, if you are told the disc image file is too large you will need to use Dual Layer (DL) DVD Media.
