Quickest way to copy files
I have an ext. HD that is on it's last legs, I need to copy all the files onto a new ext. HD. Is there any faster way than Windows Explorer?
It's about 1TB with about 2000 files.
I'm on Windows 10, 22H2, .3086

i use robocopy too cuz it’s way faster and keeps retrying if the old drive is dying
i just run it with /mir and it clones everything clean without windows explorer freezing - WrentdrIron Contributor
Using the RoboCopy command: Open the Command Prompt, type `robocopy source_drive:\ target_drive:\ /MIR /MT:32`, and execute.
