Problem with keeping the keyboard layout at same language

I've been trying to prevent Windows 11 from changing the keyboard language without permission. It happens most often when returning from sleep mode.
I usually keep it set to ISL (Icelandic) and know about the

+Spacebar to switch languages. But it's still like a annoying chore and i can't find anything to stop
Windows 11 Home edition default back to english without permission.

Are there any solutions?

Go to Settings > Time & Language > Language & Region. Under Preferred Languages, make sure Icelandic (ISL) is set as your default language. Click on Options next to Icelandic and see if the Keyboard input method is set correctly. Remove other keyboard layouts you don’t want to switch to, especially English.

If the language still switches after sleep, consider creating a script or use Group Policy (if available) to enforce language settings, although Group Policy is limited on Home editions.

Press Win + I to open Settings, go to Time and Language > Language, select the current language under Preferred language, tap Options and then select the most popular layouts in the Keyboard section by adding a keyboard, removing unwanted layouts and ensuring that only the desired layouts are retained to avoid automatic switching.
