Please, Bring Back Full Taskbar Customization in Windows 11!!!
Currently, Windows 11 has a more streamlined and simplified taskbar design, which has removed some of the customization features that were standard in Windows 10. Microsoft has been gradually adding some features back through updates, and community tools have emerged to fill the gaps.
Hi, thanks for your input.
The problem for me is that the streamlined taskbar design doesn’t help at all – I need the full set of customization options back to be able to work efficiently:
- Taskbar at the top of the screen
- Multiple rows (2+ rows for toolbars + running apps)
- Custom toolbars (folders, shortcuts, quick access)
This has been the foundation of my workflow for decades.
A simplified design is fine for most users, but it shouldn’t come at the cost of removing options for power users.
Wouldn’t it be possible to keep the streamlined version as default, while still allowing advanced customization for those of us who need it? I don't understand why Microsoft has done this
