Photoshop doesn't show in default apps

I'm running Windows 11 Version 24H2. I just replaced my hard drive and all else is working well. Photoshop starts well from Creative Cloud or from settings, but it doesn't show in my apps or default apps and I can open images from the Photoshop app, but I can't make it the default or even use open with when trying to open any image. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, rebooted, ran scannow, and still can't get it to show in the apps. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I did find a workaround, but it's still concening that Photoshop doesn't show up in the apps. If I go to open with and then search for another app, I can set Photoshop to always open that type of file.

Sometimes, Adobe's support can provide specific guidance for issues like this, especially if it's related to recent updates.

Go to Settings → Apps → Default Apps, search for file types (jpg/.psd) and associate them with Photoshop. You can also repair the installation via Adobe Creative Cloud. If the program isn't listed, right-click the image, select Open with → Choose another app, and set a permanent association.
