PC Doesn't Meet Windows 11 System Requirement - i7 6700HQ
Probably after 12 years of supporting MS I should buy a gaming console and think to an another OS, because my i7 is not good for Windows 11. I think the competition will win here. tangr2035
Romi0885 I have the same processor and iam running windows 11 w/o eny problems whatsoever.
There is a official workaround for your issue.

Hi! I have perform the clean install for W11 on my i7-6700HQ using the same Microsoft account and the license worked from W10 to W11 with no issues.

Hello Romi. Can you tell me what the workaround was/is so that I can also make use of my i7-6700 on my Dell, and so I can upgrade my computer to Windows 11.
Your help would be much appreciated.
Thank you.
- Romi0885Jan 29, 2022Copper ContributorI still run windows 10. I will upgrade on an official update (if it will be one for 6th gen i7 cpu) because I don’t want to lose my license.
- SayedRedaJan 29, 2022Brass ContributorAs I wrote to you, you don't lose your license. I did a clean install and I have windows 11 license once you login with your Microsoft account
- alex4romeOct 15, 2021Copper ContributorYes but there is a big limitation: you cannot update automatically your system and must do it manually... every time
- MEx89Oct 17, 2021Copper ContributorNo i just updated 🤣

All good still? Seems this should be the new Windows 11 tag line :P
- tangr2035Oct 15, 2021Brass Contributoryeah, I agree. I will not risk updating it when it is not officially announced as supported CPU.
