PC asks for password
My PC (win 11, 23H2) has started asking me for a password every time I turn it on. I have never set it up with a pw in the first place and it took me several hours and a second PC to get it going. I checked the account settings to turn this nonsense off but couldn't find anything? Can someone enlighten me?
Open Credential Manager, type credential manager in the search box on the taskbar and select Credential Manager Control panel. Select Windows Credentials to access the credentials you want to manage.
In the Windows Credentials and Generic Credentials section, remove all stored credentials. Restart your PC.
Is it a local account or microsoft account?
If you're using a Microsoft account and prefer it not to require a password, consider switching to a local account (though this will lose your Microsoft account's benefits).
