Follow‑up:
Thanks for reviewing my initial report.
I want to add a few technical details that may help determine whether this is a known servicing issue in the 26220.x flighting line.
- The device is on Windows 11 Home Insider Preview 25H2 (OS Build 26220.8925).
- The pending update is Windows 11 Insider Preview Feature Update 26220.9022, but it never progresses past 0%.
- The earlier update failure on 8/1/26 due to low disk space appears to have left the servicing stack in a faulted state. Disk space has since been fully restored.
- Windows Update Troubleshooter fails to launch, which suggests CBS or servicing stack corruption rather than a simple download issue.
- No other updates (drivers, cumulative, or definition updates) will initialize.
- The build is approaching its evaluation expiration (8/11/2026), so the system is attempting to migrate but cannot stage the payload.
Given these symptoms, this looks like a build‑to‑build migration failure specific to the 25H2 Insider servicing baseline.
I’d appreciate confirmation on whether 26220.8925 → 26220.9022 has any known servicing stack issues, or if a manual servicing reset / repair package is required.
Thanks for any guidance the Insider engineering team can provide.

A few details that may be relevant:
- The device previously failed to update on 8/1/26 due to low disk space.
- Disk space has since been fully recovered and verified.
- After resolving storage, Windows Update resumed but never progresses past 0%.
- Build‑to‑build migration appears to be failing (25H2 → newer 25H2 servicing build).
- The Windows Update troubleshooter fails to launch, which suggests a servicing stack or update component issue.
I’m looking for guidance from the Insider team or anyone familiar with servicing failures on this build line. Any known issues with 26220.x migration or recommended recovery steps
(resetting update components, servicing stack repair, etc.) would be appreciated.
