NOT a BSOD but some sort of crash . . .

NOT a BSOD but a crash of sorts. The screen goes black but it says it ran into a problem and needs to restart and has a countdown percent thing and restarts faster than I can get a picture of it. This is the second time in two days and both times I was using Firefox when it happened and had TurboTax open in the background.

Event viewer shows . . .

The last 10016 error has Unavailable instead of {15C20B67-12E7-4BB6-92BB-7AFF07997402}

The information at 1:38:19 was right after rebooting.

I would love to know what caused it . . .

I thought I would post it here instead of following Google AI advice but any of you can look at Google AI and see if it sounds lagit

(often related to Windows.SecurityCenter.WscCloudBackupProvider) are common and typically benign, but when causing reboots, they can be fixed by granting "Local Activation" permission in Component Services. Modifying DCOM permissions involves editing the registry (regedit) to take ownership of the key, then using dcomcnfg to add the SYSTEM account permissions.

I dont use any cloud backup services unless something is running with Acronis that I have not looked it yet?

    Based on your description, it sounds like your system is experiencing a sudden crash or system halt that results in a black screen followed by an automatic restart, rather than a typical Blue Screen of Death (BSOD). The fact that it happens while using Firefox with TurboTax open suggests it could be related to specific software or hardware interactions, possibly involving graphics, memory, or system stability.

    It sounds like you're experiencing a serious system crash that isn't a traditional BSOD but still causes a sudden black screen with a "ran into a problem" message, then restarts quickly. Since it happens while you're using Firefox and TurboTax, and the Event Viewer shows errors with "Unavailable" instead of the usual GUID, it suggests a potential driver or system component issue, possibly related to system stability during resource-intensive tasks.
