NordVPN Threat Protection Pro – blocking websites and apps on Windows PC

I’m having an issue with the **Threat Protection Pro** feature in **NordVPN** on **Windows 11 Pro (version 25H2)**. After enabling this feature, the system behaves abnormally and some apps or websites stop working.

    Answer

This issue happens because Threat Protection Pro blocks some websites and apps by mistake. It checks DNS and internet traffic, so sometimes normal apps look unsafe.

    Try these steps:

    Turn off Threat Protection Pro
    Open NordVPN
    Disable Threat Protection Pro
Check if the website or app works
If it works, this feature was the problem

    Check antivirus conflict
If you use another antivirus (Bitdefender, ESET, etc.), disable it for testing
Or add NordVPN to the antivirus exception list
Do not run two network security tools together

    Use Split Tunneling
Add the blocked app to split tunneling
This lets the app bypass NordVPN filtering

    Reset DNS
Remove custom DNS in Windows and NordVPN
    Try another NordVPN server
    Test in another browser

    Reinstall NordVPN
    Uninstall NordVPN
    Restart the PC
Install the latest version and test again

If Threat Protection Pro keeps breaking important apps or websites, keep it OFF. The VPN will still work fine without it.
