No menu popped up after clicking "SHOW DESKTOP"

Windows 11 23H2 (Build 22631.2506)

When you left-click on the bottom right of the taskbar (or press the Windows key + D), the desktop appears as expected. However, when you right-click on any icon or a blank area of the desktop, no menu appears until you right-click a second time, regardless of whether any windows are open.

Interestingly, if there is a window open in full screen and you minimize it to go back to the desktop, the right-click function works properly. A single right-click brings up the menu.

It appears that when you click on the bottom right of the taskbar (or use Windows key + D), the screen freezes. Strangely, the left-click function still works as expected, allowing you to select icons.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? I've noticed the same behavior in Windows 11 22H2.

Check if the Feature is Responding:

Click on the "Show Desktop" button (usually located at the far right of the taskbar near the date and time) to see if it works.
Alternatively, you can use the keyboard shortcut Windows + D to see if that brings the desktop into view.

    Restart Windows Explorer:

Right-click on the taskbar and select "Task Manager."
Find "Windows Explorer" in the list, right-click it, and choose "Restart."

When you click on the bottom right of the taskbar or use the Windows key + D, it's possible that the system is freezing for a brief moment. This could be causing the right-click menu to not appear immediately.

If none of the above solutions work, you may have to consider a reset. Go to Settings > System > Recovery, and under Reset this PC, follow the prompts. Be sure to back up your files first!
