Need help as I can't convert wav to mp3 on my pc
Option 1: Use the M4A Format from Voice Recorder
When it comes to converting WAV to MP3. If your goal is simply to make files smaller for sharing, M4A is just as good as MP3. Most modern devices (phones, computers, media players) can play M4A files perfectly.
1. Open your recording in the Voice Recorder app.
2. Click the "..." (Three Dots) menu.
3. If you see "Save as", select it.
4. The app will create a new, smaller M4A file that you can share. For sharing, this is often a perfect solution.
Option 2: Use the "Media Feature Pack" for Windows
Another way for converting WAV to MP3. This is an official fix for a specific problem. If you live in Europe or have a special "N" version of Windows, your computer might lack media codecs.
1. Go to Settings > Apps > Optional features.
2. Click "View features" next to "Add an optional feature".
3. Search for "Media Feature Pack", select it, and click "Install".
4. After a restart, some apps might magically gain the ability to handle MP3 conversion.
