My windows date is changing to August 3209, somewhat often
Hi every one!
After installing Windows 10 Pro Insider, Build 21327.rs_prerelease.210226-1427, my calendar date suddenly changes to a day of August 3209.
Does anyone know something about it?

This guy here (https://superuser.com/a/1547315/1581004) probably posted the solution (from a developer) about a problem of thousands of users with screen flickering after deploying WSL2 or Hyper-V from Windows 10 and 11!
See if on the home screen the time and date are out of adjustment (Like Year 3209) ; if so, try this tip here (https://superuser.com/a/1547315/1581004).
It took a long time to find a solution for this....and apparently, there is some incompatibility with some old BIOSes around the UTC vs RTC interpretation of the system.
It finally worked!
Thank the users who posted (Pirindolo Verde) and the developer (speed-soft.de)!- VavReCopper ContributorThank you for your answer but unfortunately this didn't resolve the issue either and since Microsoft is taking forever to take care of this I decided to go back to WSL1 (WSL). Since it only needs Windows Subsystem for Linux feature and doesn't require Virtual Machine Platform to be enabled, It's fine to use for now. you can find out how to do it here:

Same problem for me Build 22000.258 now________
I can't live without WSL and already made Windows 11 my home and I don't want to roll back.
I had an idea and I need some assistance, as I don't know where exactly Windows hides the setup files (or links) to get Virtual Machine Platform Feature / Hyper-V installed in the System, I've been searching and found the Packages folder under Windows/Servicing/ which holds some cat and mmu files for all the Windows features, most files are 1 to 3 KB and by opening them with notepad it is just some keys/tokens and links so I assume they all get downloaded and installed from Microsoft Servers, this screenshot shows the Virtual Machines Platform files as found in Windows 11 Build 22000.258 which according to the dates are mostly in September/October, when the issue starts to appear.
Okay, my idea would be to replace those files with Windows 10 files that runs okay with WSL (I mean without weird time changes). However I am not sure if that is the only spot where Windows features lie and maybe even there is an easier way by using some Powershell commands to get a previous build of the feature we know is working safe in Win 10. Well in any case, backuping those files is mandatory, who knows what could go wrong. If somebody is willing to take a bit of a risk and try it on Virtual Machine or some Expert could know more than I do... Seems like Microsoft is taking forever to release a fix for this issue, that it is not happening only in Windows 11 recent builds but also to some Windows 10 Insider Builds.
- BredzProCopper ContributorI made a video tutorial regarding this issue. The text tutorial is in the description.
I hope it helps!

Turning the virtual machine feature off solves the problem for me but I'm using WSL and that's one of the main reasons I'm back to windows, is there any way I can use WSL with right time? This is so frustrating and couldn't find any fix for it so far.

- jirispalenskyCopper ContributorI have same issue with Windows 11 pre-build... Same from JUN/JUL... Same date 7/8/3209... I tried to stop HYPER-V functions, so we'll see 🤷🏻:male_sign:
- UmbriacoCopper ContributorIt is indeed a problem with hyper-v. Once I disabled it, booting into safe mode and command prompt to disable it, the problem disappeared.

I just started getting the problem today. I've been wanting to leave the Insider Program,as I was getting fed up of how much downtime my laptop was experiencing during updates, for about a month now, and this has accelerated my desire. I couldn't open any websites without a warning, and then I looked at Windows Update and it said that I hadn't checked for over 400,000 days. I put the time and date right, and then Windows Update installed updates, and after the last restart, the time and date problem was back. My build is 21390.

Sory, bert_the_fish , I left the program until the problem is solved.

sebalvsantos This keeps happening to me with preview 21370 installed. 3 times today my laptop jumps to August 7th 3209. Disabling auto time sync and re-enabling it resets to the correct time and date.

tswersky Could Microsoft be aware of this problem?
As I uninstalled the version, I have not kept up with the progress, but it would be good if the responsible team became aware of this.
