My SSD completely failed after a sudden shutdown
- Jan 28, 2025
Hello Limer!
It sounds like your SSD failed due to a sudden shutdown, which can sometimes cause drive corruption or failure, especially if the power loss affects the data being written to the drive. It's possible that the SSD became damaged during the shutdown, which caused Windows to enter the recovery loop. The 3F0 error typically means the system can't detect the boot device, which further suggests an issue with the SSD or the connection to it.
Replacing the SSD seems like a good move, and once you do, make sure to reinstall Windows and restore your backup if you have one.
Hope it helps!
