Music Folder in Navigation Pane Shows No Content
1. Check the folder path:
Open the actual path to the “Music” folder (usually C:\Users\<username>\Music).
Make sure there are files or subfolders in the folder.
2. Reset the folder view:
Open File Explorer and navigate to the Music folder.
Click View > Options > Change folder and search options.
In the View tab, click Reset Folders.
3. Rebuild the index:
Open Settings > Search > Search Windows.
Click on Advanced Search Indexer Settings.
In “Indexing Options”, click “Advanced” > “Rebuild”.
Wait for the index rebuild to complete and check if the Music folder shows its contents.
4. Check the library configuration:
Right-click on the “Music” folder and select “Include in Library” > “Music”.
Open File Explorer, navigate to “This PC” > “Music” and check if the contents are displayed.
5. Create a new user profile:
If the problem persists, the user profile may be corrupt.
Create a new user account and check if the “Music” folder is displayed properly.
6. Check for Windows Insider version issues:
If the problem occurs in the Windows Insider Preview, it may be a version bug.
Submit the issue in the Feedback Center and wait for Microsoft to fix it.
