I have been using a logitech g5 mouse for almost 20 years and i think the button pad is about to break because it feels very thin. I purchased a steel series rival 3 i plugged it in and saw the mess...
It sounds like you’ve done this already, but try using different USB ports again. Sometimes USB ports can malfunction, and switching ports may resolve the issue.
