Mouse problem
I have been using a logitech g5 mouse for almost 20 years and i think the button pad is about to break because it feels very thin.
I purchased a steel series rival 3 i plugged it in and saw the message new hardware detected and i then opened a browser and something very strange happened.
After about 5 minutes the mouse pointer just froze on screen , i used the same usb as i had used my old one on , i had to use my old one to shut my pc down as i did not want to do a hard shut down with the power button. I tried it several times on usb2 and 3 with the same results , i never got chance to see if their was any drivers for it but my reliability monitor said driver was installed ??? .

If you have any other mouse or input device drivers installed, consider updating or temporarily disabling them. Disable any third-party mouse management software that might conflict.

Replace the USB port first and then try updating the mouse driver.
