Missing Copilot Feature in Windows 11 Insider Build
Hello Windows Insiders,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to bring attention to an issue I've been facing with the Copilot feature in the Windows 11 Insider Build. After enjoying its seamless functionality for a few days following the release, I noticed that the Copilot feature has disappeared from my system.
I have waited for several days, thinking it might be a temporary glitch that would be resolved with subsequent updates, but unfortunately, Copilot has not reappeared.
Here are some details about my system:
- Operating System: Windows 11
- Insider Program: Beta Channel
- Copilot Feature: Present initially, but disappeared after a few days
Windows Specifications
- Edition Windows 11 Pro
- Version 23H2
- Installed on 9/11/2023
- OS build 22635.2700
- Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22678.1000.0
I have already reached out to the help and support team, and their recommendation was to open a discussion here. I am hopeful that the community can shed some light on this matter, and if others are facing a similar issue or have found a solution, your insights would be greatly appreciated.
Additionally, if there are any specific troubleshooting steps or updates related to Copilot in the Insider Build that I might have missed, please share them. I'm eager to continue using this feature and contribute to the improvement of Windows 11.
Thank you in advance for your assistance, and I look forward to your valuable input.

muis6847 Also today after going through my surround sound deck through video output my activation fell off and it can't be reactivated, I tried calling support but all they could tell me is the activation is down which was a lie now i'm stuck with no active windows and dont know what to do. My active windows was version 10 and went through the builders to update to windows 11, I dont have the VERY old key but microsoft shows i have a valid 10 key guess i'll try formatting and going back to 10 to see if it will reactivate then.
Anyone else seeing this problem ?
Hi muis6847,
Copilot is still a CFR (Controlled Feature Release), this means it does not show up everywhere yet.
I've also had devices where it went missing & came back.
To make sure you get it as soon as possible, make sure you are signed in with a Microsoft account, not a local user.
also tuning on the 'Get the latest updates as soon as they are available' is important. you can find this slider in settings under windows update.
From the Microsoft support pages: 'The initial markets for the Copilot in Windows preview include North America and parts of Asia and South America. We’ll add more markets over time.'
Depending on you location you might need to change your regional settings to be able to test it out for now.
