Make a desktop computer Projecting to this PC compatible
I've a Surface Go as my primary work machine, but my desktop at home is what connects to my two monitors. I'm interested in trying the "Projecting to this PC" feature to more easily use my Surface go with the desktop workflow. I'm curious what I could do to 'enable' my desktop to make use of it. It says that my desktop doesn't support miracast, which I know to be a Wifi standard, but is wifi the factor inhibiting me here?

The "Projecting to this PC" feature, often using Wi-Fi Direct or similar technologies, isn't necessarily tied to Miracast. While Miracast is one way to do wireless projection, other methods exist. The "doesn't support Miracast" error message likely means your desktop isn't equipped to receive wireless displays using that specific protocol.
