are we talking of the same update?
Yesterday was released the KB5044285, and I updated with that:

Yes, I have verified it was KB5043145. KB5043076 was also installed overnight. I’ve uninstalled both about 5 times each now and they keep coming back despite me having updates disabled. I’m attempting to download Windows 11, version 23H2 (repair version) now. It’s taking forever to do anything because my mouse keeps jumping all over the place.
- sowa1500Oct 15, 2024Copper ContributorHi there,
my company is dealing with medical equipment that is using multiple (up to 5) industry cameras (USB3.0) and several other hardware components connected on a USB2.0 standard. During the roll-out of KB5043145 we experienced severe initalization issues in our .NET-based program. (OS WIN 11 Pro 64Bit).
This affected the simultaneous operation of the components as well as an initalization of one after the other. In the latter case, one random of the mentioned components would refuse to start up, leaving the entire software in a freeze.
Most of the hardware will be connected on separate USB cards attached to the Mainboard via PCI Express.
With a bit of own research, we figured out, that this update could be the reason for the missing functionality. By uninstalling KB5043145 we actually were able to regain full control over the hardware function again.
In a first try, we now blocked the installation of WIN updates at the computers of our customers for the next five weeks.
Now, KB5044285 gets rolled out, which somehow even installs, if Updates are paused. Sadly, the issues in the hardware initalization still persist with this update, even though MS states it fixed.
Anybody with any ideas? Some better workarounds or fixes than 'uninstall and pause updates' would be greatly appreciated. - cbifulco2Oct 15, 2024Copper Contributor

ValentinoM It just popped up and I’m downloading now. Hopefully I can use my laptop after it installs. Otherwise, I won’t be getting any work done for a while.
- ValentinoMOct 09, 2024Copper Contributorok then, wait till you see it`s available the KB5044285.
(they are maybe still rolling it out at different times)
indeed strange that your win update keep proposing the previous one...
