Looking to get a new Laptop PC, looking for advice, opinions, help

I first want to start by saying If my question is not allowed on this site/forum please let me know. If it is I would like to mention that I am NOT a techy person so please try to be detailed or explain your responses as best you can as to why or why not i should or should have something.

For reference my current laptop, which is still working and has been a good laptop for the last 8.5 years, yes 8.5 years. It is a Inspiron 15 7559 Windows 10. It was my first laptop and at the time I got it, it was a gift that I was able to spend a bit of money on at the time, fast forward to today I don't want a cheap computer or notebook however i want a decent one that can hold up (fingers crossed) like my current one has.

With MS support for Windows 10 coming to an end; the age of my computer and with a new President/ tariff's happening in a few months I thought it would be wise to check in to getting a new laptop before the prices likely with majorly increase as my 8 year old might not last another 4 years. So that being said looking for recommendations for a good/decent laptop (most of my PC's have been Dell or HP), I'm NOT a gamer, although my current laptop i believe is a gaming computer, I will likely just do browsing, social media, some office work and most likely be scanning and editing home videos and photographs.

Again I don't want a cheap computer, but I'd like to stay UNDER 2000k if possible

Based on your needs, I recommend considering the Dell XPS 13 or HP Spectre x360. Both are excellent for productivity tasks like browsing, office work, and video/photo editing, while offering a premium build and performance without exceeding your $2000 budget.
