Looking for best remote desktop software for windows 11, any recommendation?
My suggestion is UltraVNC, a powerful, open-source software application that enables users to remotely access and control another computer over the internet or a local network using the VNC (Virtual Network Computing) protocol. It's particularly popular among IT professionals and advanced users because it offers detailed customization options and strong security features.
Here's a basic guide on how to set up and use this remote desktop software for Windows 11/10:
Step 1: Install the UltraVNC Server on the computer you want to access remotely. During installation, set a VNC password to secure access.
Step 2: After installation, open the UltraVNC Server and configure its settings, such as display properties, security settings, and user access permissions.
Step 3: Launch the Viewer application on the controlling computer. Type the IP address of the remote server you set up earlier. If you're connecting over the internet, this will be the public IP address of the server’s network.
Step 4: Click "Connect" and enter the password when prompted to start controlling the remote desktop.
Step 5: Once connected, you can control the remote computer as if you were sitting in front of it. You can run applications, access files, and perform administrative tasks depending on the permissions set.
For me, UltraVNC is the but its configuration might seem daunting due to its detailed settings and options. It's ideal for users who need more control and functionality than what simpler solutions like Microsoft Remote Desktop or Chrome Remote Desktop might offer.
