Microsoft PowerToys offers a tool called Image Resizer that allows you to quickly convert and resize images on your Windows PC. Here's how to use this image converter and resizer utility in Windows 11/10:
- If you don’t have PowerToys installed, download it from the official GitHub page. Find the latest release, download the installer, and follow the installation instructions.
- Once PowerToys is installed, open it by searching for "PowerToys" in the Start menu. In the PowerToys settings window, make sure the Image Resizer module is enabled. You can find it on the left sidebar.
- Open File Explorer and navigate to the folder containing the images you want to convert. Select the images you wish to convert. You can hold down the Ctrl key to select multiple files.
- Choose a predefined dimension size or enter a custom size. You can also select the option to maintain the aspect ratio. In the "Image Format" dropdown, you can choose the desired format (JPEG, PNG, BMP, etc.).
- Click on the Resize button to start the conversion process. PowerToys will process the images, resize, and convert them as per your selected options.
- After the process is complete, navigate to the chosen output folder to find your converted images.
This simple integration of image conversion and resizing via PowerToys enhances productivity without the need for additional image converter software.
