Latest Canary build 27686 and NVIDIA 560.81 graphic driver

Attempting to install NVIDIA drivers in version 560.81 on Windows Canary Build 27686 always ends with a crash (during graphics driver installation) and reverting to the last known good restore point.

The problem did not occur on the previous driver version - 556.12 and concerns the MSI GT72 6QE laptop with a 980M card.

  • Same problem at today released Nvidia 560.94 driver version but now I cannot repair my laptop via default autorepair but I had to use a restore point option manually.

Hello again. I have provided NVIDIA specialists with complete information about this problem, including logs, system files, and a video recording. The topic - after reviewing my materials - has been taken up by their Developers at a higher reference level. If necessary and the Insider team wants to contact me, I can provide the ticket number to facilitate cooperation in removing the error.

The problem has been reported for a month and you still haven't solved the problem.

I have the same problem on the latest build 27718 and an attempt to jump from NVIDIA driver 556.12 to 565.90 using NVIDIA App. The driver starts to install, but when the installer changes resolutions, the screen after the first resolution modification (its lowering visible on the screen) becomes black and after a while the laptop resets. When I restart it, I get an error loading the system and this ends with the need to restore it.
