Issue with the previous dev insider update 27938.1

I've been on the windows insider dev channel for several years with no issue then on September 10th after I installed the new update (previous canary build I believe) I started experiencing issues with basic windows core apps: microsoft store (not updating/restoring apps), photos, microsoft 365 copilot, notepad, phone link, xbox, and cross device experience host. I ran through all the troubleshooting steps for the store so I could fix the apps (clearing cache, repairing/resetting in settings, sfc/dsim, flush dns, etc.) and everything still doesn't work. I can't even open photos I have saved on my device. Rolling back the update didn't work and neither did updating to the latest build 27943.1. Could someone please reach out and help me figure out what went wrong with that update and advise me on next steps? Trying to see if I can resolve these issues without doing a clean install of windows. Please and thanks!
