Issue with Restart Option Functionality
After updating my BIOS recently, I encountered a significant issue with the restart function on my Windows 11 system. Following the update, the restart feature stopped working properly. Instead of the system automatically booting up after a restart, I had to resort to manually pressing the power button on my PC each time.
Upon attempting to restart, my screen remains black, and the system fails to reboot successfully.
Operating System: Windows 11 (Version 23H2)
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z790

Open Control Panel > Power Options.
Click Choose what the power buttons do.
Click Change settings that are currently unavailable.
Ensure Turn on fast startup (recommended) is unchecked.
Save changes and restart your PC.

The issue with the restart function not working properly after a BIOS update on your Gigabyte Z790 motherboard with Windows 11 can be caused by several factors, such as BIOS settings, driver compatibility, or Windows power management configurations.

Restore the default settings in the BIOS, and update the motherboard's network card and chipset drivers to the latest versions.
