Hi Deuce1,
I can understand your frustration, especially after having to perform a clean installation because of a previous Insider build.
A couple of questions that may help narrow this down:
- Which Insider channel are you currently enrolled in (Canary, Dev, Beta, or Release Preview)?
- What build number are you currently running?
- When you try to leave the Insider Program, do you receive an error message, or does Windows simply keep offering Insider updates?
If Windows automatically re-enrolled you after the clean installation, I wonder whether the device is still linked to an Insider configuration through the same Microsoft account.
As for the update failure itself, do you happen to see an error code in Windows Update history? That could provide more clues about whether this is a download issue, corrupted update files, or something specific to the current Insider build.
Let us know what channel and build you're on, and someone may be able to provide more targeted suggestions.
