Insider Preview Build 26200.5702 (Dev) update fails with c1900101 (Surface Pro 3 with Windows 10)
I have received via Windows Update Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26200.5702 (Dev Channel) update. Before I did that, I have reset my computer (because I was having similar problems) using cloud version of Windows 10 PRO. My computer is SURFACE PRO 3 which came with Windows 10 Pro. I have no application on it. After insider update finishes I get a screen with a menu of several items including "recover" and "loggon windows 10" and "other OS" etc. I choose other OS which gives me an option to logon to Windows 11. When I choose it, after a blank screen, I get a dialog box indicating "logonUI Exception". When I reboot to Windows to Windows Update shows Error: (0xc1900101).
My Windows 10 pro is upto date. All firmware is upto date. There is no software other than what comes with Windows 10 from cloud.

Run Windows Update Troubleshooter
- Press Win + I → Update & Security → Troubleshoot.
- Select Windows Update → Run the troubleshooter.
- Apply any recommended fixes and retry the update.

But I have given up given the conflicting information or procedures trying to push Windows 11 (via Update for insiders) while officially stating that support is not to be provided if all requirements are not met.
For those receiving the same error message, I am guessing that since I removed the encryption from my system disk and windows installer is failing because it is assuming the original factory encrypted ssd. I hope that Microsoft would comment on this conjecture and take corrective action if that is the case.
The Surface Pro 3 isn’t officially supported for Windows 11, and Microsoft recommends at least a Surface Pro 4 or newer. While some community members have managed to upgrade via hacks, it’s risky and can lead to instability.
