Insider Dev Channel resubscribe and new Builds
Typically, no. The official and most reliable way to rejoin the Insider Dev Channel if you are no longer enrolled or if your flighting system is broken is to perform a clean install and then re-enroll.
Thanks for your reply. It's the same solution Microsoft Copilot AI suggested after I reported the problem. I rejected that option because it would have been too much work, and my Windows 11 Dev version, while not the latest build, was working fine.
You won't believe it, but the problem resolved itself. At the end of March, I received a notification from the Windows Insider Program to update my system. Build 26300.8085 was installed, and the problem was fixed. Windows Dev has continued to update, and today I have build 26300.8155 installed.
However, this latest version caused a browsing problem in Microsoft Edge Dev, and I had to install Microsoft Edge Canary, which displays the following error message upon updating: "The component could not be created (error code 3: 0X800700C1)."
Despite this error, I recognize that Edge Canary is faster at browsing than Edge Dev, and with the help of Copilot AI, I have improved the program's "flags" settings. I update the program manually from the website "https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/edge/download/insider?cc=1&form=MA13FJ&cs=4060813956" and download the latest available version of Edge Canary. If it's a newer version than the one I have, I install it; otherwise, I delete the file.
News: A new Windows 11 Insider Dev build, Quality Update 26300.8170, was released today. Additionally, another update, "Microsoft Corporation AudioProcessingObjectDriver Update (10.0.26100.6710)," was also released. This means that Windows updates are working perfectly.
Regarding Microsoft Edge Canary, the "0X800700C1" error persists. However, contrary to expectations, the application updates correctly: it has gone from version 148.0.3957.0 to version 149.0.3971.0. A notification appears replacing the "..." in the toolbar with "Update", the program restarts, and loads the new version. Therefore, Edge Canary is also working perfectly.
