Insider build 29648.1000 keeps failing to install

Hey everyone,

I'm stuck on this one. Every time I try to install the latest Insider build—29648.1000—it just fails. I tried installing it through Windows Update first, and when that didn't work, I downloaded the update manually and mounted it. Same result.

Current build is 29617, running Pro on a Lenovo IdeaPad. No error code that's been helpful so far.

Anyone else dealing with this or have any idea how to get past it?

    For many, it's tied to an "Access Denied" error (0x80070005) that seems to be a bug in the build itself . Because of this, the official recommendation from Microsoft is to wait for the next Insider flight, which should include a fix.

    This is a known issue. Make sure the reserved partition has enough free space, 500MB is recommeneded!
